Bottom financial quintile admission target

According to the Household Living Conditions Survey, in 2021 year there were 14.7 millions households in Ukraine (excluding the occupied territories). There is no information in the sources that Ukraine is below the 20% of household income level.

However, there is evidence that a significant part of the population lives below the poverty line. In particular, according to the UN methodology, more than 60% of population in Ukraine is considered as poor. The IMF also considers Ukraine to be the poorest country in Europe in terms of gross domestic product per capita and salary levels.

In addition, according to the results of a nationwide sample survey of the socioeconomic status of households, conducted jointly by Unicef, KfW and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, in February 2024, due to the war, the proportion of poor people increased by 1.7 times (from 20.6 to 35.5%) in 2023.

The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management is actively working to ensure access to quality education for all segments of the population. One of the ways to achieve this purpose is the policy according to which IAPM strives to enroll students from families with the lowest income level not less than a certain percentage annually. It is our bottom financial quintile admission target.

Thus, in accordance with the Admissions Policy IAPM in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, IAPM has the admission quota. The demand is to admit not less than 20% of children from families with the lowest income level. This quota includes persons with disabilities; orphans; children deprived of parental care; children of deceased (deceased) persons; persons who suffered from the Chernobyl disaster; persons whose parents are miners; persons who are internally displaced persons; children from large families (five or more children) and others.

Every month (on the last Saturday of the month), IAPM organizes charity days, where we provide individual information about financial support and many other issues for our potential students.

During the 10 months before enrolling in higher education at the bachelor's level, applicants have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and prepare for entrance exams at IAPM through preparatory programs, which are free for people from families with the lowest income level.

Every year, IAPM regularly organizes charity days and provides potential students with individual information on financial support and many other issues.
