The Bureau for the Promotion of Sustainable Development Goals is a structural unit of the Academy that develops and implements the Academy's strategy for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs are 17 global goals that were agreed upon by world leaders in 2015. They aim to address issues such as poverty, hunger, inequality, climate change, and environmental protection.
The SDG Promotion Bureau was established in 2016.
The sole responsibility of the Bureau is to advance sustainable development at the IAPM.
The SDG Promotion Bureau works with all Academy divisions to help them integrate the SDGs into their work. The Bureau also develops tools and resources to help the Academy track its progress toward the SDGs.
The SDG Promotion Bureau plays an important role in the Academy's work on achieving the SDGs. This helps the Academy become more responsible and inclusive while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Here are some specific examples of the work carried out by the SDG Promotion Bureau:
Development of the Academy's strategy for achieving the SDGs, including identifying problems and challenges, developing policies and strategies, modelling likely futures with and without interventions, monitoring and reporting on interventions, and enabling adaptive management;
Providing resources and support to Academy units to help them integrate the SDGs into their work;
Engagement with local communities through partnerships aimed at conserving shared terrestrial ecosystems;
Development of tools and resources that help the Academy track its progress in achieving the SDGs;
Organization of educational programmes and campaigns on climate change risks, impacts, mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning;
Organization of events and activities that raise awareness of the SDGs among students, staff, and the public, including alumni, local populations, displaced persons, and refugees.
The work carried out by the SDG Promotion Bureau is essential for achieving the SDGs.
Oleksandr H. Hrytsenko heads the Bureau since its creation in 2016.

Higher education. In 2002, he majored in "Jurisprudence", specializing in "Commercial and labor law". In 2018, he obtained a second higher education majoring in "Economics and Personnel Management".
Since 1998, he has been working at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, first as an office manager, then transferred to the position of specialist, leading specialist, chief specialist in working with regional divisions. He then held the following positions: deputy head of the department, deputy director of the department for work with regional divisions; head of the control department; head of the budget control bureau of the All-Ukrainian University.
Since 2006, he has been engaged in public activities, in particular: assistant to the executive director of the Confederation of Non-State Educational Institutions of Ukraine and assistant to the director of the First Independent Agency for the Quality of Education.
