POLICY of sustainable development of life underwater
ABSTRACT
The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) makes a comprehensive commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) - "Life under Water". The Academy has taken significant steps to support and educate local and national communities on the conservation and sustainable use of water ecosystems and resources.
In the field of education, IAPM offers courses on freshwater ecosystems, aquatic plants and freshwater aquaculture. These courses enable students and the community to understand the practice of water management, conservation and aquaculture. In addition, the Academy conducts outreach activities to raise awareness of overfishing, illegal fishing and harmful fishing practices.
Thus, the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic ecosystems and resources, addressing key aspects of SDG 14 through education, action, waste management and ecosystem support.
CURRENT SITUATION
IAPM offers educational programs in sustainable water management. Activities in educational programs for the sustainable management and protection of aquatic and coastal ecosystems to avoid significant conflicting impacts, their restoration in order to achieve a healthy and productive environment.
IAPM tries to minimize plastic and paper waste at the Academy. It is forbidden to use any plastic bottles in the Academy's retail outlets and catering facilities. Containers for plastic and paper waste are placed in the premises.
IAPM is actively engaged in practical actions aimed at promoting the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic ecosystems.
This includes:
The Academy offers courses and research methods for maintaining and expanding biodiversity, with a special focus on ecosystems under threat. In addition, IAPM cooperates with industrial enterprises in researching technologies and methods that minimize damage to aquatic ecosystems.
The Academy has established water quality standards and guidelines for water discharges to protect ecosystems and human health.
To introduce lectures for students and scientific discussions at the annual scientific and practical conferences of the Academy on research and education aimed at preventing and reducing marine pollution of all kinds, especially those resulting from land-based activities.
In accordance with SDG 14, IAPM has a policy to reduce plastic waste on campus by limiting the use of plastic bottles and promoting recycling. The Academy has adopted a policy to prevent and reduce marine pollution from land-based activities.
To preserve local ecosystems, IAPM has implemented initiatives such as "harmony of nature" aimed at raising awareness and protecting aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. To introduce lectures for students and scientific discussions at the annual scientific and practical conferences of the Academy to minimise physical, chemical and biological alterations of related aquatic ecosystems. The Academy conducts biomonitoring to assess the health of aquatic ecosystems. In addition, IAPM supports programs and incentives to encourage good water management practices and cooperates with the local community and relevant organizations.
