Accessible facilities

Campus Infrastructure. Currently, all educational buildings and dormitories of the IAPM have been re-equipped and reconstructed for accessibility for people with disabilities and other low-mobility population groups in accordance with the State Building Standards of Ukraine V.2.2-40:2018 “INCLUSIVITY OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES”. All educational buildings and dormitories of the IAPM have undergone examinations and certification for accessibility for people with disabilities and other low-mobility population groups.

All buildings of educational buildings and dormitories of the IAPM are equipped with:

  • features ramps
  • accessible restrooms to ensure ease of movement throughout the campus.
  • toilet rooms accessible for people with special needs
  • ramps are installed for all building entrances and across the landscape to allow ease of access
  • parking spaces and a specific entrance gate available for people with special needs
  • guide block

Accessibility aids are available for use in all three libraries. Please ask at the Information Desk if you would like to use:

  • different types of backrest
  • chair supports
  • trackerball mice
  • wrist rests
  • whale mice
  • coloured overlays

 

In addition to accommodation and facilities, IAPM also provides disability services, which are specialized services for students who need assistance related to their specific needs. This service also helps students with special needs so that they can follow the learning process at the IAPM more optimally. Different forms of services are supported by various units and programs, one of which is the Individual Learning Program with students with disabilities.

Learning Adjustments. The IAPM implements personalized teaching methods and assessment formats tailored to individual needs. The Academy also has Handimedia Rooms in the Library. These are study spaces that are specially equipped to be used by people with disabilities.

Health Services: Academic Clinic IAPM provides primary healthcare services and supports the safety and wellness of students, faculty, and staff on campus. Професійний медичний персонал are available to offer first aid and medical care for minor illnesses and injuries, and promote disease prevention.

The services in the Academic Clinic are free. Students with medical needs or disabilities who require regular assistance on the campus may submit a medical report from their physician stating their health condition and special requirements.

Support Services. Students have access to the Team on inclusion, support, and integration of students with disabilities and people with disabilities for guidance and assistance.

The IAPM also provides Psychiatric Consultation. Students with different types of disabilities can get a consultation. The purpose of the psychological service is to preserve mental health, provide psychological and socio-pedagogical support to all participants in the educational process in accordance with the goals and objectives of the education system. 

Awareness Programs. The IAPM conducts regular training for faculty and staff to promote understanding of disability issues and support accessibility. Communication tips are promoted for effective interactions.
