Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) provides access on food security and sustainable agriculture and aquaculture knowledge, skills or technology to local farmers and food producers through:
• Training Local Farmers and Food Producers
IAPM offers a series of educational programs on sustainable agriculture for rural professionals, including local farmers and food producers.
Twice a year (from February to April and from September to November), the Institute of Adult Education IAPM conducts the course "Principles of business management, developing a marketing plan, controlling risk, obtaining financing for local farmers". This course is designed to provide farmers with practical knowledge and skills that will help them to successfully develop their business. This course covers the main aspects of management, including food security and sustainable agriculture. Experienced specialists give local farmers and food producers practical guidance on sustainable farming techniques, climate resilience etc. Local farmers and food producers also learn how to create sustainable strategies to promote agriculture products on the market; examine the risks that can affect a farm business, including ecology, weather conditions, economic fluctuations and legislative changes; covers sources of finance available to farmers, such as bank loans, government grants and investment programmes.
Annually since 2021 Academy conducts Urban Beekeeping Program. Local farmers and food producers from Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, that are begginers in this sphere take the programme. This programme provides knowledge about bees and the beekeeping industry, as well as the opportunity to learn urban beekeeping techniques. The training of beekeeping specialists involves a comprehensive approach to learning that includes both theoretical and practical components, and provides them with basic knowledge about sustainable agriculture.
• The IAPM Library`s website provides to local farmers and food producers free access to electronic resources that contain a significant amount of information and data about food security and sustainable agriculture and aquaculture, as well as information about current environmental and climate changes, educational materials on the implementation of modern technologies in the field of ensuring food security and sustainable agriculture and aquaculture.
• Research. An access to food security and sustainable agriculture knowledge has been made available to a local and global audience by IAPM`s reseachers. Publication examples include:
