Tracking access measures application of women/men rate, and acceptance or entry rate, graduation rate

In an effort to promote and embed a gender-aware at Interregional Acaademy of Personnel Management tracks and monitors a range of student data, disaggregated by gender. This data assists the Academy in identifying possible areas of emerging disparity and helps to develop Academy’s future strategic and practice directions for the Academy. At current 59% of our student cohort are women. The tables below reflect student enrolment, commencement and completion data at IAPM from 2019 to 2024.

Our higher education admissions policy provides equal access without discrimination on the basis of race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, belief, ethnic or social origin, pregnancy, conscience, culture, birth or disability.

Interregional Academy of Personnel Management has implemented several measurement systems for the tracking of students’ performance. These tools enable us to monitor women’s participation and performance compared to men’s. We have also developed a number of schemes, including remedial measures in the event students face challenges in their studies. Whether these schemes are open to all students, regardless of their gender, or have been designed to tackle specific challenges faced by women, such mechanisms enable IAPM to address and reduce any potential gender-based gap.

These schemes have demonstrated their efficiency.

RE-REGISTRATION

Remedial options are offered to enable students, including women, to complete the dropped courses or clear the failed courses. Remedial options described in this section are primarily offered to help students improve their internal assessment marks.

Regular Semester Re-registration: Students with “F”, “FX” grades or who have dropped the course can re-register whenever the course is offered during the regular semester. The assessment pattern will be similar as in the regular mode.

Run-time re-do: Certain courses that are not offered during the current semester, are offered as special classes (termed as run time re-do).

Second chance examination (that is, an additional examination conducted approximately one month after the publishing of results of the End semester examinations) is allowed for students.

WOMEN-SPECIFIC SCHEMES

In case of pregnancy, female students, including PhD students, can take long term leave up from 3 month to 3 years and continue their studies after the leave, joining another cohort for PHD students.

Female students with children can benefit from Child Care services available on campus.

Limited family resources might, leave female students with inadequate financial support for higher studies. In some instances where families face financial constraints, scholarships based on merit are offered to female students to support their ongoing education.

Safety issues, especially in terms of commuting and residing away from home, can be a significant concern for female students and their families, leading to possible drop-out.

This is the reason why IAPM is provide a safe campus for all students, especially, girls, to facilitate safe travel between the buildings and provide robust infrastructure with adequate lighting. IAPM provides girls’ hostels in territory our campus with strict regulation to protect the female students.

Gender bias and discrimination within academic institutions might demotivate women, leading to dropout.

For gender equality and gender justice in all its intervention and practices, women students can contact the Committee for Ensuring Equality at the IAPM.

IAPM is committed to gender diversity and helping women students succeed in their educational goals.

As a key measure of academic achievement and one of our student success goals we systematically track, monitor and evaluate women application admissions and graduation rates including first-time women students.

2. Tracking Method

To track women’s applications, IAPM uses the following method:

  1. Data Collection: Application forms include a mandatory field for gender, to be able to identify femaleapplicants.
  2. Database Segmentation: Once applications are submitted, data are segregated based on the genderfield.
  3. DataAnalysis: Data can be analyzed to understand the number of female applicants for IAPM.
  4. Reporting: Reports detailing the number of female applicants can be created. These reports canprovide insights into trends and help assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts aimed at encouraging female applicants.
  5. ContinuousMonitoring: Data are compared over multiple application cycles.
