Currently, IAPM educates students in 27 specialties. The Academy carefully monitors the representation of women in each subject. IAPM`s application data shows that women are underrepresented compared to men in only these 5 specialties:
F1 Software Engineering
F2 Computer Science
F5 Cybersecurity and Information Protection
K3 National Security
K9 Law Enforcement
In the other 22 specialties studied by students at IAPM, female students are represented on an equal basis with male students.
To encourage applications by women in subjects where they are underrepresented, the Academy actively collaborates with community groups, government structures, other educational institutions (schools, colleges, and universities), and NGOs. Since 2015, the Academy has been creating and running campaigns on regional та national levels to encourage women to apply in subjects in which they are underrepresented.
The Academy has a unique Future Minds Academy Programme, where mentor teachers from the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management regularly conduct masterclasses and interactive classes for schoolgirls (grades 7-11), giving them the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of various professions and modern fields of knowledge. During such events, girls have the opportunity to try themselves in practical tasks and gain valuable insights into careers in management, information technology, law and other areas of interest.
The Academy’s mentors generously share their experience and knowledge to help participants decide on their future professional steps and understand what daily work in their chosen field looks like. These activities help to build self-confidence, encourage active learning, and provide students with the necessary guidance to choose their educational and career path.
Activities within the Future Minds Academy Programme:
Master classes and workshops:
Career counselling
Introduction to research and technology
Leadership development
Networking events
Another way to encourage women to apply in subjects in which they are underrepresented is the Social Project "Path to the Future", which was launched by the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in 2016. The center of practice organization, employment of students and graduates, currently carries out this project.
The Academy has already concluded 100 agreements on participation in the Social Project "Path to the Future" and actively carries out outreach to encourage applications by women in subjects where they are underrepresented in collaboration with other educational institutions of the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region (schools, colleges, and universities).
The Academy's cooperation with organizations that provide professional guidance to students and future applicants is effective.
In 2025, the Academy concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Career Guidance Center.
In 2024, the Academy concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences. IAPM, together with the Kyiv JAS, gathered several hundred 10th-grade students from schools in Kyiv and held a competition called the "IAPM Knowledge Cup", and awarded the most talented with valuable prizes. One of the goals of this event was to encourage women to apply in subjects in the IT sphere, in which they are underrepresented.

In addition, the Academy works together with government institutions and NGOs to create and run campaigns on regional and national levels to encourage women to apply in subjects in which they are underrepresented. Such as:
