Women's Leadership and Mentoring Program

The IAPM university environment actively supports and develops female leadership through specialized mentoring programs. The Women's Leadership and Mentoring Program is a key element of our strategy for gender equality and support for female students.

Mentoring support at the Academy is multi-level, ensuring broad coverage and an individual approach to each student.

Level 1: Centralized program “Women's Leadership and Mentoring”.

This is the foundation of our strategy, focused on leadership development and career growth.
The program includes monthly thematic group master classes and workshops for all program participants. More than 1,200 women participate in the events in 2024 year.
Every quarter, events are held with invited female leaders from various fields (IT, law, business, art, politics) where participants receive inspiration, learn about real experiences of overcoming obstacles, and build bridges for their future careers.

Level 2: Faculty and departmental mentoring initiatives (localized support)
These measures provide on-site support and are easily integrated into the educational process, covering more than 500 female students.

 “Student Curator” program:
Second- to fourth-year students (junior mentors) are assigned to groups of first-year students. Adaptation meetings are organized during the first month of study. Students provide assistance in organizing the learning process and preparing for exams.

 Academic mentoring groups:

In order to help prepare for scientific conferences, assist in writing articles, and involve students in research projects, female teachers organize small groups (5-10 people) for female students who are interested in science.

It is thanks to this multi-level structure, which combines individual work, group support in departments, and general academic initiatives, that we are able to involve in 2024  more than 1,200 female students in active mentoring activities. This is not a single isolated program, but an entire support environment that guarantees coverage of more than 10% of the total number of female students.

MentorSTEM program

The Academy actively promotes gender equality in the educational process and creates equal opportunities for all students regardless of gender. The institution offers a wide range of programs, covering the areas of management, economics, law, information technology and others, focusing on demanded specialties.
IAPM also focuses on supporting female students, encouraging them to enroll in management and engineering specialties, where women are traditionally less represented. MentorSTEM hosts regular webinars, trainings, and workshops to discuss important aspects of successful education and professional development in STEM fields. Participants have the opportunity to take part in special workshops such as leadership, project management, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
The MentorSTEM program provides an opportunity to choose a personal mentor from among leading teachers - professionals in the chosen field - who will help develop the necessary skills, prepare for competitive exams, and understand the requirements of the specialty.
In addition, within the framework of MentorSTEM, special attention is paid to pupils of grades 10-11, for whom testing for their career guidance is conducted annually in modern computer classes at IAPM. This helps students to identify their aptitudes and choose the appropriate field of study in the future.

IAPM also actively works with parents of students to ensure their confidence in the safety of their children while studying. Security measures implemented on the territory of the institution and policies that guarantee protection in accordance with standards and regulations are constantly being strengthened. Security guards work on the territory and in the premises around the clock. In addition, the institution is equipped with a modern security system, which includes surveillance cameras.

Women's group “ Leaders of Cyberspace”

As part of the activities of the IAPM Cybersecurity Lab, there is a women's group called “ Leaders of Cyberspace”, which was created to support and develop the professional skills of female students in this area.
“Leaders of Cyberspace” conducts pieces of training and master classes where participants learn the latest cybersecurity methods, get acquainted with ethical hacking techniques to identify and prevent threats, and develop data protection strategies in various industries. The members of the group actively participate in various competitions, where they demonstrate a high level of professional skills.
